Electric scooters: how do weight and claimed range compare?

Hiboy’s S2 Pro claims 25 mi at 37.4 lb; its KS4 Pro claims the same distance at 40.6 lb. Range needs margin.

Both have a 220 lb load rating; hills, stops, weather and battery condition can reduce distance.

How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Plan the carry as carefully as the ride

Hiboy offers scooters with the same 25 mi range claim at 37.4 lb and 40.6 lb. For an upstairs apartment, that carrying difference deserves attention even though the distance labels match. GOTRAX also has a 25 mi option at 37 lb, with a 264 lb load limit rather than those Hiboy models' 220 lb limit.

Count yourself and anything you carry against the load rating. The scooter weight is separate from that allowance, and accessories can add to the machine you lift. A missing weight cannot answer a strict carrying limit.

Leave room between a range claim and your route

The known maker range claims span 17 to 80 mi; the Hiboy at the long end weighs 103.6 lb and has a 330 lb load limit. That is a very different carrying proposition from the smaller commuting models. We compared manufacturer figures without riding these routes, and their range conditions differ.

Hills, repeated stops, rider load, weather and battery condition can reduce distance. Keep margin for your trip rather than treating a maximum claim as a commuting promise. Conflicting Hiboy range and weight statements stay unknown instead of borrowing a favorable figure from elsewhere on the page.

Before you buy

Does advertised range equal real commuting range?

Manufacturers use their own conditions. Speed, rider load, hills, temperature, stops, and battery condition affect range; these claims are not standardized road-test results. If you carry it upstairs, that difference matters more than the matching range label.

Why are some numbers missing?

S2 MAX has inconsistent weight units; MAX Pro has conflicting range figures. Each affected value stays unknown, rather than being chosen from the more favorable claim. Your weight or range preference cannot be satisfied by that missing value.
