How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Sources for all 20 models

An elliptical needs a delivery route as well as floor space

Numeric length measurements cover 48 to 87.2 in, but some machines give dimensions as a combined description instead. Life Fitness Club Series+ reaches the longer endpoint and weighs 301 lb; allow for the access route and delivery arrangement as well as its final position. Reserve the maker’s operating clearance around the moving machine. Room fit here is a comparison of dimensions, without assembly or workouts in a home.

Fixed stride and adjustable stride answer different questions

Fixed stride figures span 13.5 to 20 in across 16 machines. Life Fitness has an adjustable-stride option with an 18–24 in range. A fixed-stride value does not describe all adjustment positions, and neither format predicts how the motion will feel to you. Read the chosen model’s stride controls and step-up height before committing to its layout.

User capacity is separate from resistance and machine mass

Maker user-weight limits run from 265 to 400 lb among the machines with that figure. Use the exact machine’s limit, rather than the upper endpoint of this selection. Resistance settings span 10 to 40 levels, but those counts are not a common measure of workout difficulty across brands. Machine weight concerns moving and placing the equipment; it is not the permitted rider weight.

Before you buy

Does a larger resistance-level count mean a harder workout?

SOLE gives E98 settings numbered 1 to 40. Sunny's six models have 12 or 16 levels, and Horizon EX-59 has 10. These counts describe settings, not resistance force; no resistance-force measurement is supplied here, so the counts cannot establish comparative workout difficulty.

Which machines have missing or adjustable measurements?

Horizon 7.0 AE and NordicTrack AirGlide 14i and 16 have no user-capacity rating here. The two AirGlides also have no scalar stride or machine-weight figure, and their sources are UK pages, so US versions may differ. Life Fitness E5 and SOLE E95S each give an 18 to 24 in adjustable stride; a scalar stride minimum leaves both outside the matches. Across makers, the sources do not establish equivalent capacity measurement methods. Five pair a 400 lb maker rating with a 20 in stride: Life Fitness's Club Series+, E1 and E3, and SOLE's E95 and E98. Space in your room matters. Sunny's SF-E323038 is 48 in long and rated for 300 lb; E1 is 81.7 in long. Leave clearance for mounting and delivery.

What dimensions and weights can I use for planning?

Among 11 machines with labeled dimensions, Life Fitness E3 and E5 are widest at 34.1 in. SOLE's unlabeled dimension strings do not identify length, width and height, and its unitless machine weights are withheld. Of 11 known machine weights, Sunny SF-E320047 is lightest at 88 lb. Machine dimensions alone exclude delivery space, movement and access clearance; use your model's installation instructions for those.
