Methodology
How the Compact Camera Finder works
We compare published specifications; we have not tested these products.
Which details affect a match?
A model matches when its details meet every choice you select. Missing or conflicting values stay unknown. If nothing fits, the finder shows the closest option and what it misses.
- Which sensor format do you want?
- What minimum sensor resolution do you want (MP)?
- Which video resolution do you need?
Order and links
The starting order helps you browse. Your choices determine which models match. When the first match has no product link, the finder identifies another linked match separately. Commission amounts do not determine a match.
Sources and limitations
Twenty fixed-lens cameras from five makers (six Nikon, five Ricoh, four Kodak, four Leica, one OM System), from the makers' product and spec pages as checked September 15, 2026. Megapixels are effective counts; for the Q3 models that means 60.3 MP rather than the 18 MP reduced settings. Focal ranges are optical 35 mm equivalents, so the Q3 43's digital frame selection isn't counted. Weights keep each maker's units and battery wording. The Kodak FZ45 has no sensor figures, and some older models may no longer be sold. Picture quality, autofocus and handling weren't assessed; we didn't take a single photo with any of them.
The finder shows source links and the dates they were checked. Those dates do not establish today’s price or stock. Before ordering, confirm the model and variant on the seller’s page.
