10 models to compare

Does a lighter 10×42 binocular mean a narrower view?

Weight need not narrow the view. Celestron TrailSeeker weighs 22.4 oz with 341 ft at 1,000 yd; Bushnell R7 gives 345 ft at 27.2 oz.

TrailSeeker's 15 mm eye relief is shorter than Regal ED's 20.2 mm.

How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Decide how much binocular you want to carry

These binoculars pair 10x magnification with 42 mm objectives, but their weights run from 20.9 to 35 oz. Makers’ optical dimensions and weights are documented; without observing through the binoculars, sharpness, low-light image quality and rangefinder performance remain undecided. Celestron’s Nature DX weighs 22.2 oz; Bushnell’s Fusion X weighs 35 oz and adds rangefinding. If carrying weight drives your choice, compare that burden before paying attention to extra functions.

A wider view and more eye relief are separate choices

Celestron gives the TrailSeeker a field of view of 341 ft at its reference distance, while the Regal ED has 340 ft and 20.2 mm of eye relief. Eye relief across these models spans 14 to 20.2 mm. Compare those measurements alongside your carrying limit; the width of the view alone says nothing about eyeglass comfort.

Fusion X has no usable field-of-view figure here, so a minimum-view filter cannot certify it as a match.

Before you buy

Where does the Bushnell Fusion X go when I set a field-of-view minimum?

Bushnell gives no field of view for it, so any view minimum moves it to Unknown details. It's also the one rangefinding model and the heaviest pair; without it, the other nine weigh 20.9 to 27.2 oz. The catch is eye relief: the TrailSeeker gives 15 mm, short if you wear glasses, where Celestron's Regal ED gives 20.2 mm at 27.1 oz.

Which pairs leave the most room for glasses?

Longer eye relief gives more room behind the eyepiece. After the Regal ED, Nikon's MONARCH M5 gives 18.4 mm, the Outland X 18.2 mm and the R7 18 mm, while Celestron's Nature DX has the shortest at 14 mm.

Does a wider field of view mean a sharper image?

Field of view is the width of scene you see at 1,000 yd, and that's all it measures. Brightness, edge sharpness and low-light views aren't compared on this page, so two pairs with similar widths could still look quite different.
