How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Column reach and downward travel solve different jobs

WEN has presses with the same 10 in swing but different spindle travel: 2 in or 2.5 in. A shared swing does not give them the same downward movement. Swing describes reach around the spindle and column, while travel describes movement along the drilling axis.

Known swing figures range from 8 to 33 in. The WEN radial-arm figure is maximum reach, so consult its setup instructions for the workpiece rather than comparing it as a fixed-column layout. Neither reach nor travel measures motor power.

Look at the slow end of the speed range

RIKON has a press with a 220 rpm minimum, while the WEN minimum-speed figures run from 530 to 750 rpm. Use the maker's bit and material guidance to decide which speed range suits your work; a lower setting alone is not evidence of greater torque.

The comparison comes from press specifications, without measuring spindle runout or drilling accuracy. Check mounting, workholding and the manual's operating precautions before use. A large swing cannot compensate for unsuitable speed settings or insufficient spindle travel.

Before you buy

Does swing tell me how deeply I can drill?

Swing is twice the spindle-center-to-column distance; spindle travel describes movement along the drilling axis. WEN 4233’s radial-arm swing is a maximum reach, so use its setup instructions for your workpiece. Neither number measures torque or runout.

Does more swing mean more power?

Swing measures reach around the column. A larger figure gives no motor-power or torque result, and it is separate from spindle travel. Use the press’s bit and material guidance for the drilling task. For deeper travel, 4211 gives more movement, while 4212T starts at 530 rpm versus 600 rpm.
