Pocket totals do not describe the boxes you can carry

Fishpond’s Sagebrush Pro Mesh Vest has 17 pockets and a net slot; Simms’ Men's Guide Fishing Vest has 26 pockets and a D-ring. Both storage count and attachment style change, so choose around your boxes and net rather than the larger total alone.

This page uses maker pocket totals without loading the vests. Pocket dimensions and layout still matter: 26 pockets do not tell you whether your fly boxes fit.

A mesh description leaves the fiber question open

Fishpond’s FlyLite Women’s Vest has 15 pockets and a net slot, but its mesh fiber is unspecified here. Simms’ Headwaters Vest has a nylon main fabric, with unknown pocket count and net attachment. Neither gap should become an assumed feature.

A net slot does not mean a net is included. Check the usable pocket sizes, attachment arrangement and package contents on the model page; do not add undocumented compartments to the manufacturer’s total.

How are pockets counted?

Pocket totals come from each maker’s explicit count. Headwaters has no usable total here, so individual compartments are not added up to invent one. Your fly boxes still need the pocket layout and dimensions.

Are all mesh fabrics the same?

Some pages identify the fiber and others only describe mesh construction. The table preserves that distinction.

Does a net slot include a net?

A D-ring or slot describes an attachment arrangement, rather than an included net. Use the named vest’s supplied-accessory list and net compatibility information before planning your setup. Bassdash’s FV01 has 18 pockets; FV05 has 16. Both use polyester and a D-ring net attachment. Your boxes still need pocket clearance. If you want a higher pocket count with those features, FV01 meets that preference. Count alone cannot tell you whether your fly boxes fit or whether a net is included.
