Tubbs Flex VRT's 25 in size has a 120-200 lb total-load band; Flex ALP's 29 in size says over 190 lb.
Include gear weight. ALP does not mean unlimited capacity; follow Tubbs' boot-fit, load-band and snow-condition chart.

Choose a load band with your carried gear included
Tubbs describes load as body weight plus carried gear. Its selected snowshoe lengths span 21 in to 36 in, with load-band labels attached to each size. Treat the label as size-specific rather than applying it to every length sold under that model.
The 120–200 lb label appears with Steep Mountains, Flat Terrain and Rolling Hills options. Selecting a load band therefore leaves a terrain decision. The 170–250 lb options each measure 30 in but differ in terrain and frame description. These are comparisons of Tubbs sizing guidance, without judging flotation from walking in snow.
Overlapping bands do not merge in the menu
A load-band choice matches the exact label. It does not pull in every overlapping band that contains the same load. Leave the band menu unrestricted when you want to examine neighboring ranges alongside length and terrain.
The 29 in Steep Mountains option has an over 190 lb statement with no upper limit provided. That missing upper bound is not permission to assume unlimited carrying capacity. Consult Tubbs' complete chart and intended-use guidance for your load and conditions; frame names alone do not predict grip or flotation.
Before you buy
Does the load include my backpack?
Tubbs’ user-weight bands include your body and carried load together. Include the pack and other gear when comparing the chart entries. A band is separate from a guarantee of flotation in your snow conditions.
Why do some load bands overlap?
Different snowshoe lengths have overlapping maker bands. The comparison retains one selected size per model and keeps each band’s label intact. Your total load can fall in more than one band; use the full chart rather than assuming a unique calculated size.
Does “over 190 lb” mean unlimited capacity?
That chart entry has no upper bound. The tool preserves the wording without inventing a maximum; check the maker’s sizing guidance for your load and snow conditions. This comparison covers ten Tubbs models, with one selected size per model. The load-band filter selects an exact label rather than calculating a unique size. Tubbs Flex VRT’s selected 25 in size has a 120–200 lb total-load band; Flex ALP’s 29 in size says over 190 lb. VRT gives a shorter length with a bounded band. ALP’s open-ended label does not imply unlimited capacity; overlapping bands, boot fit and snow conditions still need Tubbs’ full chart.
