Rope type comes before device weight

Petzl REVERSO names single, half and twin ropes; Petzl GRIGRI names single ropes. Their device-only weights are 57 g and 175 g. That difference matters in a pack, but it cannot choose a climbing system for you. DMM Mantis weighs 45 g, while DMM Pivot weighs 72 g, with different single-rope wording.

Read the full diameter description for the rope type you use. An overall range cannot be carried across single, half and twin ropes as if the permissions were interchangeable. Consult the current device and rope instructions for your intended setup, including the other equipment.

A standard name is no climbing-system approval

The standard categories preserve manufacturer declarations; they are not safety grades awarded by this finder. Petzl's aluminum-frame REVERSO and GRIGRI's different material description also do not provide a braking-performance comparison. This is a reading of belay-device specifications, without a climbing or braking trial.

Device weights exclude carabiners and other kit. A diameter match, a material label and a maker standard still do not certify compatibility or safety for your setup.
