Blade shape can change without changing blade size

Buck’s clip and skinner variants include blades that share a 4 in length and 0.12 in thickness. The shape is a separate choice even when those dimensions match. Check the exact handle variant as well as the blade description.

The Buck drop-point entries include a 4.5 in blade at 0.14 in thick. Compared with the 4 in clip blade, that changes length, thickness and shape together; decide which of those differences matters for your work.

A steel name leaves cutting behavior unmeasured

The 10 Buck variants include MagnaCut and other named blade steels. We read the maker’s dimensions and selected-variant steel descriptions without cutting, sharpening or measuring edge retention.

These lengths describe the blade, not the overall knife. Steel and thickness do not prove durability or edge retention. Read the selected variant’s handling and sheath instructions, and keep an exposed blade away from other gear and hands.
